Billy Ray Turner

Billy Ray Turner, age 85, of Wolfcoal, KY passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence.  He was born April 26, 1939, in Breathitt County and was preceded in death by his parents:  Ollie James and Fannie Stamper Turner.  He was preceded also in death by his wife: Julia Turner.  Three brothers: Greenberry Turner, Orville Lee Turner and Johnny Turner.  He is survived by three sons:  Ollie Jason Turner (Susan) of Wolfcoal, KY; Bill Turner (Angela) of Lost Creek, KY and Stacy Ray Turner of Wolfcoal, KY.  Two sisters:  Gladys (Lynn) Pelfrey of Jackson, KY and Geraldine (Mitchell) Smith of Canoe, KY.  One brother: James Elliott (Ann) Turner of Jackson, KY.  Five grandchildren: Mallory Turner, Makayla Turner, Billy Turner, Brady Turner, Josh Dickinson.  One great grandchild; Chole Turner.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Hall officiating.  Burial in the Bill Combs Cemetery at Talbert, KY.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
