Lonnie Alan Turner, 76 of Morris Fork, Kentucky departed this earthly life Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his home in Morris Fork.

Born on October 4, 1949 in Morris Fork, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William and Jane Riley Turner. Mr. Turner built his working life as an electrician and served as head of maintenance at Ashland Oil. His work reflected a steady and practical commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Cleda Faye Caudill Turner; his parents, William and Jane Riley Turner; and his brothers, Charles Wendell Turner and Harold Tilton Turner.

Mr. Turner is remembered by his son, Wendell Alan Turner and wife, Patricia; his grandson, Zachary Alan Turner; his great-grandson, Zavier Woods Turner; his sisters, Wilma Williams and Inez Kincer; his nieces, Dewana Robinson and Rebecca Noble; and his nephew, Billy Riley.

A member of Morris Fork Presbyterian Church, Mr. Turner remained closely connected to the community where he was born and where his life came to its close. He valued time with family and friends and enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Kentucky sports and working in his garden. These familiar parts of daily life were among the things that defined his days and will be remembered by those who knew him.

Visitation for Lonnie will be begin Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home with his funeral service to start at 2:00 PM with Mike Riley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Lonnie Alan Turner will be remembered with respect and affection for a life rooted in work, family, faith and the place he called home.
