Gregory Neal Thomas, was born on September 5, 1982, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Joyce Hensley Neace and the late Freddy Thomas. He departed this life leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and will forever cherish the memories they shared.

Greg was disabled and attended church whenever his health allowed. He found contentment in the everyday moments that meant the most to him. He had a special love for Dodge trucks, enjoyed drawing, and never met a dog or puppy he didn't love. One of his greatest pleasures was traveling with his brother, Bugsy, creating memories together along the way. Above all, Greg treasured spending time with his family, whose love and support meant everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Freddy Thomas; his brother, Freddy Wayne Thomas; his sisters, Jamie Neace and Timberly Neace; his paternal grandparents, Reed Jr. and Rosa Thomas; and his maternal grandparents, Green and Lennie Hensley.

Greg leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Joyce Hensley Neace (John); his brothers, Floyd Scott Lykins, William "Bugsy" Lykins (Tammy), and Christopher Neace (Brandy); his sister, Lisa Lykins (Layne); his special nieces, Shelby Lykins and Ashley Lykins; his special nephews, Andrew James Gross, Will Lykins, and Jonathan Neace; his special aunt, Lula Moore; his special uncles, Earl Moore Jr. and Jr. Hensley; his special friend, Christine Hollon; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation for Gregory will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Breathitt Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Breathitt Funeral Home with Cecil Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyra Cemetery at Frozen, Kentucky. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

Greg will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for the people closest to him, and the happiness he found in life's simple pleasures. While he will be deeply missed, the memories he created with his family and friends will continue to bring comfort for years to come.
