Amanda Dawn Willett, 39, of Bowling Creek, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard. Born on November 27, 1986 in Lexington, Kentucky, Amanda was the daughter of the late Melissa Willett and the granddaughter of the late William and Stella Willett.

Amanda dedicated her life to being a homemaker and mother, roles she cherished deeply. She found immense joy in spending time with her family and embraced hobbies that brought her closer to nature and her loved ones. Whether fishing by the water’s edge, riding four-wheelers through the countryside, tending to her garden or exploring treasures at yard sales, Amanda lived a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful connections.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Amanda attended several churches throughout her journey, including Bowling Creek Mennonite Church and Altro Church of God. These places of worship provided her with spiritual guidance and a sense of community.

Amanda is survived by her companion, David Turner; her beloved son, Cayden Scott Turner; her aunts, Billie Jean Willett and Tina Smith and her uncles, Charles Willett and Jesse Willett. 

Visitation for Amanda will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home with her funeral service to be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM with Gary Riley, Chris Turner and Calvin Eash officiating.

Burial will follow in the Cole Cemetery at Bowling Creek with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Amanda’s memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her. May her legacy of love for family and appreciation for life’s simple joys bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
