Stanley Turner

Stanley Turner, 89 of Wilder, Kentucky passed away on Friday, May 16th, 2025.  

He had worked at General Electric as a machinist and also maintenance man for the Newport School System. He also served as the Mayor of Wilder for 20 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Norma Turner; sons, James “Buzz” (Carol) Turner and Stanley Thomas (Bakhyt) Turner; brothers, Davey Turner, Tete Turner and Billy Turner; sister, Golia Hall; grandchildren, Janna, Jade and Alikhan. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tete and Nancy (Griffith) Turner and brother, John Turner.

Visitation will be at Cooper Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22nd from 4-8pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 23rd at the funeral home at 12 noon. Burial will follow at the Sebastian’s Branch Cemetery in Breathitt, KY.
