Jackson Woman’s Club collects supplies for Hazard Safe House

In observance of April being Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention month, GFWC Jackson Woman’s Club members. Collected the needed items requested by the LKLP Hazard Safe House. Supplies were recently delivered by club members Faith Riley, Iva Fugate and Dorothy M. Marshall. A monetary contribution was also presented to Safe House staff.
The LKLP Hazard Safe House, a nonprofit agency, serves Breathitt, Lee, Owsley, Leslie, Knott, Letcher, and Perry counties, providing temporary lodging at no cost for victims of domestic violence and their dependent children.
The LKLP Safe House provides free counseling services, children services information about referrals to legal options, financial, housing and medical services.
