Walter Hollon, Jr.

Walter Hollon, Jr., born May 1, 1952, having aged 72 years and 10 months, departed his earthly journey in the early morning hours of March 26, 2025 due to a long bout with cancer. Walter was a retired concrete truck driver, having also operated a taxi service in Cincinnati, OH. Walter was also a veteran of the US Army, having dutifully served his country.
Walter was the youngest son born to Walter Hollan, Sr. and Julia Spicer Hollan, both deceased. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward Hollan and Mary Miller Hollan, and his maternal grandparents Edward (Ned) Spicer and Nannie S. Spicer. Brothers James Alan Hollan and James Butler, along with sisters Mary Florence (Hollan) Turner, Nancy Lou Hollan and Judy Darlene (Hollan) Carpenter also precede Walter in death.
Walter is survived by his wife, Mollie Bowers Hollon of Ft. Wright, KY and son Joseph Henry Hollon (Lisa) of Amelia, OH. Walter also leaves behind his beloved Dachshund, Dudley.
Also surviving are brothers Granville Hollan (Martha) of Union, KY, William (Kaye) Arrwood of Belleville, MI, sisters Amy Jo (Hollan) Richerson of Jackson, KY, Wilma (Wendell) Gross, of Jackson, KY, Shirley Walker of Eaton, OH, and Beverly Canon, of Corinth, KY. A host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends also survive. No services have been planned at this time.
