April, being Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, GFWC Jackson Woman’s Club members Roxiania Fraley and Iva Fugate placed pinwheels around the Breathitt County Courthouse Christmas tree to raise awareness about the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
The ”Pinwheels for Prevention” campaign reminds everyone to do what we can to ensure every child has a safe and healthy childhood. The blue and silver pinwheel symbolizes happiness and is the national symbol used to raise awareness about the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
