Pablo Valencia, 49, of Pikeville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center.
Pablo was born on December 7, 1975, the son of the late Jesus Valencia and Otillia Gomez. A former resident of Tennessee, he found a special place in his heart for the hills of Eastern Kentucky, where he lived for several years. He was known for his good nature, creative spirit, and deep love for his family.
Pablo worked as a construction worker, earning respect from colleagues and friends for his skill and work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed crafting, making necklaces, creating wire animals, landscaping, and gardening. He found peace and joy in these hobbies and loved sharing his creations with those around him. Above all, Pablo treasured spending time with his family, making lasting memories with those he loved.
He is survived by his four sons, Pablo, Ivan, Alan, and Ramon; four daughters, Bere, Susy, Emily, and Daniella; five brothers, Juvenal, Luis, Carlos, Jesus Jr., and Trino; four sisters, Otillia, Aurora, Carmen, and Maria Lupe; six grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Mary Varela. His favorite niece, Mariposa, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, will always carry his memory in their hearts.
Pablo was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Valencia and Otillia Gomez.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM at Saint Francis Catholic Church in Pikeville, KY. His family will receive guests at the church beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the service.
Pablo’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
