Timmy Joe Lewis, age 55, of Waco, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at the Compassionate Hospice Care Center in Richmond.
He had a love for life and talking to people, whether it was telling one of his stories or talking politics. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching tv shows, like the Munsters or Married with Children. He and his wife, Diane spent countless hours spending time together camping. Seafood and spaghetti brought him much joy. He can be remembered for the “green truck” that he had over 30 years and took much pride in it. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Pentecostal Workers Church at Clayhole.
Tim is preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Linda and Roger Potter; his in-laws, Clyde & Ruth Kilborn.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Kilborn Lewis; parents, Harry and Lois Lewis; children, Micah Lewis, and Eden Osborne; sisters, Pam (David) Jones, Jennifer Lewis, Ashley (John) Brooks, and Stacey Lewis, step children, Samuel (Kelsie), Daniel (Jessy), Avonda (Donald); grandchildren, Samuel, and Sedrick; uncle and aunts, Danny Potter, Sue Isaac, Mary Purkey, and Kathy Kramer; in-laws, Harlin and Doshia Kilborn, Debra Greenwell. He is also survived by numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at the Breathitt Funeral Home chapel with Donald Tapio and Todd Amburgey officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery in McKee, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 4:00-9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Serving as Pallbearers will include: Micah Lewis, Jonathan Jones, David Jones, Devin Lewis, Jonathan Ellis, Ronald Ellis, Scott Johnson, and Tom Ball.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will include: Samuel Brewer, Sedrick Brewer, Danny Potter.
