Preston Thompson, 71, Talbert passed away Tuesday, December 26, at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson. He was a retired mechanic from ABF Trucking in Ohio. During his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, coon hunting, camping and other outdoor activities. He attended the Turners Creek Mennonite Church. He was the son of the late Cecil and Arlene Turner Thompson. He was also preceded in death by son, Joshua Thompson; brothers, Joe Thompson, Chuck Thompson and sister, Sherry Ann Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Turner Thompson; daughters, Susan Dickinson, Roxanne (Rob) Igo, Sherry Thompson; brother, Harry (Colleen) Thompson; sister, Sharon (Troy) Dewberry; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, at 12:00 PM at the Turners Creek Mennonite Church with funeral beginning at 2:00 PM with Phil Swartzentruber officiating. Burial will follow in the Alice B. Turner Cemetery at Talbert. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
