Pearl David Hudson, 68 of Chapmanville, WV departed this life on December 21, 2023 at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1955 in Jackson, KY the son of the late Reeve Lloyd and Pheobie Miller Hudson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cordus (Laura) Hudson, Charles (Thelma) Hudson, and Reeve Hudson Jr.

Pearl was a member of the First Church of Christ in Chapmanville. He was also a member of the Masonic Breathitt County Lodge #649 and the Oleika Shriners. Pearl was an avid Kentucky Sports fan but his favorite sport was basketball. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Pearl loved raising cattle and chickens.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Vivian Lambert Hudson; daughters, Rebecca Hudson, Amanda Hudson, and Melissa (Travis) Hudson; son, Pearl David (Morgan) Hudson Jr.; sisters, Margie (Charlie) Holbrook, Joy (Junior) Campbell, Mary (Randell) Stevens, and Connie (Larry) Armstrong; brothers, Burley (Betty) Hudson, Jimmy (Hattie) Hudson, and Larry (Cora) Hudson; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Larry Butcher) Craddock, Colton and Keegan Craddock, Isaac and Chase Butcher, Kennady, Tyson, and Loudon Hudson, Mia, Willow, and Waylon Adkins; and great-grandchild, Joseph Colt Butcher.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 12:00pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the funeral home with Dennie Lambert and Kit Meade officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Watts Funeral Home in Jackson, KY.

Services will be held 12:00pm, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the funeral home with Eldon Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Hudson-Holliday Cemetery, Clayhole, KY.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Blevins, Paul Phipps, Terry Gore.

Freeman Funeral Home, Chapmanville, WV is in charge of the arrangements.

Local arrangements held by Watts Funeral Home.
