The murder case against Fairley Napier, Jr. is set for jury selection, and the trial is docketed for March 23 in Breathitt Circuit Court.
Napier faces four counts, including one count of Murder-Domestic Violence, one count of tampering with Physical Evidence, one count of Abuse of a Corpse, and one count of Criminal Mischief related to the January 4, 2025, disappearance and murder of his ex-wife, Joanie Campbell.
Campbell’s remains were discovered on Sunday, January 6, in a burned vehicle off Highway 1098.
Court officials in the office of Commonwealth’s Attorney Maranda King scheduled several days to choose the jury and conduct the trial before Circuit Judge Lisa Whisman.
