Lonzo Turner, 82, Jackson passed away Monday, January 8, at the Dover Nursing and Rehab Center in Georgetown. Lonzo was a passionate fan of the UK Wildcats and the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed spending time with his family as well as playing cards with his group of friends. He was an easygoing person who loved people. He was the son of the late Talbert and Susan (Turner) Turner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie Bea (Haddix) Turner; brothers, Elliott Turner, Marcus Turner, James Robert Turner, Talbert Jr. Turner; sisters, Flossie Campbell, Frankie Mae (Wallace) Bates, Nannie Millie Smyth, Jennie Ruth (Kenneth) Russell, Archie Opal Campbell, Mima Ann Turner; nephew, Ronnie Talbert Russell; niece, Virginia Campbell. He is survived by brother, Logan (Edna) Turner; brothers-in-law, James Campbell, Roy Campbell; sister-in-law, Ida B. Turner, eleven nephews and two nieces. Visitation Wednesday, January 10, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Funeral services Thursday, January 11, 2:00 PM with Logan Turner and Wallace Bates Jr. officiating. Burial in the Jackson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Clair, Ray David Sallee, Donald Bowling, James Morris, Chester Fugate, James Elliott Turner, James Turner II.
