Eva Jean Turner, 80 of Bowlings Creek, wife of Mose Turner, and daughter of the late Henley & Mima Hall Turner passed away Friday, October 20th, 2023 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church and The Church of Christ since she was a young girl. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles on her phone, quilting, playing rook, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her Husband of 63 years Mose Turner; 1 Son - Shane O'Mallory (Freda) Turner; 1 Daughter - Tesa Turner; 1 Brother - James T. (Ollie) Turner; 4 - Grandchildren - Jessica (Andrew) Howard, Whitney (Matthew) Bowling, Zachary Turner, Isaac Turner; 6 Great- Grandchildren - Sebastian Howard, Aiden Howard, Colt Howard, Daisy Bowling, Gabriel Bowling, Evie Bowling. Other than her Parents she was preceded in death by Brothers Mackie Turner, and Eugene Turner; Sisters Brenda Watts, Linda Hall, Katelee Turner. Visitation for Eva Jean will be held Monday October 23rd from 5-9 PM and her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM Tuesday at The Breathitt Funeral Home with Albert Little and Chris Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Alice B. Turner Cemetery at Turners Creek with Zach Turner, Isaac Turner, Sebastian Howard, Aiden Howard, Andrew Howard, and Matthew Bowling serving as Pallbearers.
