The Jackson Municipal Water Department shared some preemptive information with its customers on Tuesday about their next water statement.
According to the information released, the October water bill will arrive missing some of the usual information that defines customers' water usage.
“As water bills are being delivered over the next few days,” the release stated, “we have realized there is some information missing on the bills themselves.”
The city and the water office warned water users that the area usually reserved for the beginning and ending usage totals will only read “Bill Forward Only,” rather than the amount used to calculate the payment.
“We are working to fix the problem for the online accounts and sending out new emails,” the statement announced. Water customers who do not use the online payment system will not receive a new billing statement.
The water office urged customers with questions or who wanted to get their usage totals to call (606) 666-2056.
“We will be happy to share what your reading and usage were for the new bill,” the press release informed users.
