Avid Breathitt County golfer Nathan Kelly Chapman made a special presentation on January 27.
Chapman, the son of Jonathan and Kendra (Noble) Chapman, had a successful year in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), raising a total of $614. He chose to split his proceeds equally between Team Colton DIPG Foundation and the Liberty National ACE Grant Program.
He presented the $312 check to Colton’s mother, Shannon Clemons Ritchie, on Tuesday.
In a press release from the AJGA, the organization noted that it was proud of Chapman’s commitment to supporting both through his fundraising efforts.
“Throughout the year, Nathan Chapman has demonstrated dedication and leadership as he worked towards his fundraising goal,” the AJGA noted. “His hard work has made a meaningful difference not only within their local community, but also in the lives of junior golfers across the country.”
The Liberty National ACE Grant provides financial assistance to young men and women who aspire to earn a college golf scholarship through competitive junior golf.
Nathan is the grandson of Tommy and Sandra Noble, John P. Chapman, and Gerri Rice.
