Beatrice Gross, born March 11, 1948 passed away Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard Ky at the age of 76.
She was born in Breathitt County to the late Clay and Ellen Spencer Thomas and late stepfather George Morris. Beatrice was also preceded in death by son; James Matthew Baker, daughter-in-law; Veronica Little, brothers; Clay Thomas Jr. and Kelly Beech Thomas (Jill), sisters; Lois Thomas, Marie Noonchester (Bill), Dulcenia Chenot, Adaline Thomas, Lena Sester (Ronnie), and special niece; Jean Casey.
In her spare time Beatrice enjoyed working in her flowers, tending to her animals and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren
Beatrice is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Matthew Gross. She also leaves behind daughters; Sandra Smith (Scott), and Jessica Little (Larry), sons Matthew Gross Jr. (Allie), Thomas Little Jr. and Gary Gross, along with a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
There will be a graveside service held Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the Jackson Cemetery beginning at 2:00 PM with Doug Finley officiating. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
