Allen Eugene Tolson, 59, of Campton, Kentucky passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026 at his home in Campton. He was born on December 1, 1966 in Campton, Kentucky.
Allen worked as a self-employed carpenter, a trade that reflected an important part of his life. He was also known for enjoying time with his family and for the simple pleasures that meant the most to him, including fishing, hunting, building and back talking.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Phyllis Hopkins Tolson; his son, Josh Wagers; his daughters, Crystal Tenorio and Kristy Wagers; his brother, Donnie Tolson; his sisters, Phyllis Long, Geraldine Tolson and Vivian Moore; thirteen grandchildren; his special nephews, Bo Profitt, Steve Profitt and Timmy Tolson; his special friend, Doug Byrd; and his doggie child, Baby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Solmon Tolson and Delphia Perry Tolson Hollon; his sons, Jacob Tolson, Samuel Tolson and Junior Wagers; his daughter, Amanda Tolson; his brothers, Roy Tolson, Dale Tolson, Jerry Tolson, James Tolson and Wayne Tolson; and his sisters, Robin Phillips, Betty Perry and Alletta Perry.
Visitation for Allen will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Breathitt Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with his funeral service to be held Wednesday, September 30 at 1:00 PM with Ed Nickell officiating. Burial will follow in the Carpenter Cemetery at Royalton with Bo Profitt, Timmy Tolson, Steve Profitt, Charlie Faulkner, Mitchell Harvey and Doug Byrd serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Hatton, Donnie Tolson and Dennis Long.
Allen Eugene Tolson will be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him for the life he lived and the time he shared with others. His memory remains with his family, friends and all who had the opportunity to know him.
