James Stephen “Buddy” Harvey

James Stephen “Buddy” Harvey, age 78, of Jackson, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.  He was born July 9, 1947, in Breathitt County and was the son of the late Roy and Odell Landrum Harvey.  He was also preceded in death by brothers: Ben Harvey, Frank Harvey and Raymond Harvey.  One sister:  Hazel Harvey.  He is survived by his wife: Nellie Harvey of Jackson, KY.  His son:  Michael (Catherine) Harvey of Lexington, KY.  His daughter: Sandra Harvey of Jackson, KY.  Two brothers:  Robert “Bob” Harvey of Lexington, KY and Larry Harvey of IN.  One sister: Dixie Noble of Jackson, KY.  One granddaughter:  Emily Nicole Harvey.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
