Marvin Paul Wheeler
June 27, 2025

Marvin Paul Wheeler, age 76 of Jackson Ky, reached his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He departed this earthly home at the Wolfe County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Campton Kentucky. Paul was a Godly, hardworking man and was always there to help anyone in need. He was the former co-owner of Wheeler Furniture. For many years he enjoyed hauling freight as a truck driver, then large equipment for the Kentucky Department of transportation. Later after retiring he continued his love of driving by transporting cars to and from different car dealerships as needed. Paul has driven many miles in his life, but the most important passengers that he truly enjoyed driving were children to and from church on Sunday mornings. Getting kids involved and participating in church was his passion and brought him great joy. The kids also knew when they arrived at church, they would be treated to a sausage, biscuit, and gravy breakfast from Paul. He knew the kids are the future of the church and they couldn’t concentrate on God’s word with an empty stomach. Not only did he want to feed their minds with the word of God, but their bodies with nourishment. Paul was a member of The Elkatawa Free Methodist Church for many years, but attended Cornerstone Christian Church with his daughter most recently. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Gross Wheeler, as well as his three children, Paul Gregory Wheeler (Cherie), of Clay City, Ky. Anthony (Tony) Scott Wheeler (Lisa) of Campton, Ky and Valerie Lynn Pugh (Philip) of Jackson Ky. Paul was the Proud Grandfather of six grandchildren, which he loved dearly. Keshia LaShee Land (Jerry), Haley Breanna Farmer (Andrew), Kelsey Brooke Terrill (Jeremiah), Hannah Grace Wheeler, Ethan Kenley Pugh, and Colin Blake Pugh. He has one great grandchild, Jonathon Terrill. Paul is also survived by his siblings, Maragret Van Kuiken (Jerry) of Indiana, Miriam Stevens (Lee), of Michigan and David Wheeler (Nelwood) of Buckhorn, Kentucky. Paul has a host of many nieces, nephews, and friends to mourn his passing. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Marvin G. Wheeler and Frances Duncan Wheeler, two brothers, Joseph Wheeler, Daniel Wheeler, and one sister Bernice Wheeler.
