Carolyn Sue Deaton

Carolyn Sue Deaton, 75, of Covington, Kentucky, departed this earthly life on Friday, June 20, 2025, at her residence surrounded by the love of her family.

Carolyn was born on September 7, 1949 in Chavies, Kentucky to the late Carl Deaton and Helen Stidham Garrison. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of the Newport Church of God and lived her life with grace, compassion and unwavering love for her family.

She was a proud wife and mother who found immense joy in her children and grandchildren. Carolyn especially loved spending time with her grandbabies and had a special fondness for Mia, her daughter Tammy’s beloved dog.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters; Della Downs, Sandy Stivers and Sandra McBride and her brothers; Charles Stidham and Roger Garrison.

Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Tammy Griffith and Lisa Neace; her sons, Roy Neace and Joseph Griffith (Jennifer Summers); her sisters, Rita Bailey and Shirley Apel and her brother, Robert Deaton (Cindy). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren; Tiffany (Jacob) Apted, Rondell Griffith, Jana (Justin) Rose, Chaya (Jonathan) Baker, Dylan Johnson and Journey Griffith along with seven great-grandchildren who were a source of endless pride and joy.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the County Line Community Church. The funeral service will take place at the church on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Teddy Bailey officiating.

Burial will follow at the Chavies Cemetery in Chavies, Kentucky with Roy Neace, Joseph Griffith, Dylan Johnson, Jacob Apted, Justin Rose, Taron Griffith and Trenton Griffith serving as pallbearers.

Carolyn’s warmth, strength, and faith will be forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.
