Vona Lee Caswell

Vona Lee Caswell, 78 of Jackson, Kentucky entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky.
Born March 15, 1947 in Hardshell, Kentucky to the late Reed and Laona Fugate Noble, she was also preceded in death by her sisters; Stella Mae Combs, Ruby Neace, Mary Golden Neace, and Janice Noble; her brothers; Lloyd Dean Noble, Jessie “Jake” Noble, Charlie Noble, Omar Noble, Luther Noble, Eugene Noble and Keith Noble; her granddaughters; Mary Jent Fugate and Paige Caswell and her great-granddaughter, Haley Elam.
A devoted homemaker, Vona found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She especially enjoyed working crossword puzzles and playing games; pastimes that brought her comfort and entertainment throughout the years.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons; Pola R. Jent (Patricia Fugate), Kenny Caswell (Natasha) and Christopher Fugate (Tanya); daughters; Rose Ann Morris (LeRoy Hall) and Ozzie Jent. She is also survived by her brother; Lewis Noble and sister; Rose Ann Mullins (Gary).
Vona’s legacy also continues through her many grandchildren: Preston DeWayne Morris, Hank Collins, Matthew Turner, Jason Jent, Heather Johnson, Brandy Howard, Dustin Elam, Haley Caswell, Christopher Fugate and James Fugate; great-grandchildren; Malachi, Dominic and Weston Morris; Brooklyn Collins; Kendra Fugate; Ozzie Faith and Little Ronnie Collins; Brylee and Cameron Turner; Brayden, RJ, Cameron and Jerimah Johnson; Aiden and Rylan Howard; Nevaeh, Jayden and Isaiah Elam; as well as great-great-grandchildren Shaenika Caudill and Talbert Knox Johnson.
There will be a celebration of life visitation beginning at 1:00 PM Sunday, May 11 at Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with a service scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM.
