Jackson Woman’s Club spruces up Jackson Welcome sign
April 20, 2025

In observance of Earth Day (April 22, 2025) and Arbor Day (April 25, 2025), members of the GFWC Jackson Woman’s Club Environment Committee Roxiania Fraley, Sunshine Smoot, and Kathy Smoot (with the assistance of Doug Fraley) celebrated by cleaning up around the Jackson Welcome Sign KY 15 South.
After extensive sprucing, new plantings were added, including four Cherry-Go-Round Hydrangeas and eight Echinacea perennials ranging from Hot Papaya to Double Dipped Rainbow Sherbert, all sure to bring vibrant color (as well as butterflies and bees) to the area annually from Spring through Fall.
The next project for the Jackson Woman’s Club Environment Committee will be cleaning up and new plantings for Main Street Park. Coming soon will be installation of the new 2022 Flood Memorial.
The Jackson Woman’s Club is involved in various community projects and activities. If you are interested in becoming a member, check our Facebook page for information.
