Clay Gross Jr., 60, departed his earthly life on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his home in Jackson, Kentucky.

In his free time, he was an avid fan of UK basketball and cherished moments spent with his family.
A devout Christian, Clay faithfully attended the Old Regular Baptist Church on Riley Branch at Clayhole, where his faith was a guiding force in his life.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elijah and Julie Gross and his maternal grandparents, Earl and Hazel Flinchum.
He leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother, Clay and Bessie Gross; his son, Josh Gross (Felisha); his daughter, Melanie Paige Gross; his brothers, Tim Gross (Lavernia), Earl Gross (Amy), Joel Gross (Lisa), Neil Gross (Chrissy); his grandchildren, River, Hunter and Fisher Gross.
Visitation for Clay will begin Thursday, March 13, 5:00 - 9:00 PM at Breathitt Funeral Home with singing service to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, March 14, 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Joel Gross officiating. Burial will follow in the Gross Cemetery at Stray Branch in South Jackson with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Clay’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
A healthy Breathitt County requires great community news.
