Sharon Resa Shuler, wife of Rickey Shuler, departed this life unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Bourbon County Community Hospital, having attained the age of 53 years. Sharon was born on September 16, 1970, in Paris, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Pryce and Martha Turner Sebastian. She was a 1988 graduate of Jessamine County High School, worked for Humana in health assessment, and was previously an employee with Kentucky’s Higher Education Student Loan Association. She loved animals, especially foxes, was very kind and loving with a funny personality, always having a joke, and especially loved being with her grandchildren and having her family together. She was a mother to anyone who needed one and was a second mother to many. She was a member of Silas Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a child, Baby Billy Shuler. Along with her husband Rickey, she is survived by three sons: Ethan (Hannah) Shuler, Evan (Revin) Shuler, Aidan (Evelyn) Shuler. Four grandchildren, Delany Shuler, Waylon Shuler, Cohen Gibson, Callie Gibson. A brother, Stephen Sebastian. Also surviving is a “special” sister, Joyce Thornberry. A God-daughter, Jackie Rae Thornberry and “special” Daughters in law: Heather N (Heather N) Gibson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel and following afterwards the family will gather at the Mill Dam Cemetery at Canoe, KY to honor the life of Sharon Resa Shuler with the scattering of her remains at the beloved homesite of her family.
