Calvert Fugate

Calvert Fugate, age 92, of Lost Creek, KY passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY.  He was born August 12, 1932, at Lost Creek, KY and was the son of the late Robert and Mina Southwood Fugate.  He also was preceded in death by a daughter: Christene Neace.  A brother:  Kelly Fugate.  A sister: Dicie Clemons.  He is survived by two sons:  Rev. Walter (Margaret) Fugate of Dry Ridge, KY and Kevin Fugate of Warsaw, KY.  Two daughters:  Brindle McGuin of Lost Creek, KY and Inez Patrick of Ranson, KY.  Special caretakers:  Johnny Gayheart and David Akers.  16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Fugate officiating.  Burial in the Calvert Fugate Cemetery, Ganderbill Road, Lost Creek, KY.  Visitation will begin on Friday at 10:00 am until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
