Dewey Francis

Dewey Francis, 84, of Jackson, Ky passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Dewey was the widower of the late Martha Henson Francis and the son of the late Harrison and Carrie Neace Francis.  He was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry Francis, Tyrol Francis, Oscar Francis, Dana Francis, Harry Francis and sisters, Bessie Combs, Lily Mae Francis, Iolet Watts, Daisy Henson.

Dewey was a retired coal truck driver and in his spare time he enjoyed working on his classic cars, weed eaters, lawnmowers and chainsaws.  

He is survived by his son, Scotty Francis; his daughters, Penny Francis, Christinia (Neil) Gross, Lois (Ron) Puffer; his brothers, Clyde Francis, Paul Francis; his sisters, Donna Noble, Elizabeth Ruth Francis; his grandsons, Justin (Ashley) Puffer, Shane Puffer, Wesley (Tiffany) Gross, Michael Scott Hollan; his great grandchildren, Charlea Puffer, David Hollan, Gracie Hollan, Aubree Hollan, Autumn Hollan, Gracie Mae Gross, Weston Gross.

Visitation for Dewey will be Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and his funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, begining at 1:00 PM at the Breathitt Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Watts and Kenneth Noble officiating.

Dewey will be laid to rest in the Francis - Roberts Cemetery at Lost Creek with Justin Puffer, Shane Puffer, Wesley Gross, Scott Francis, Audie Francis, Bill Friley, and Michael Hollan serving as pallbearers.
