Wayne Turner

Wayne Turner, 83, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away November 13, 2024 at the Rolling Hills Health Care Center in New Albany, Indiana after a long illness.  

Mr. Turner was born October 31, 1941 in Breathitt County, Kentucky.   He was the son of the late Wesley and Bertha Turner, he was a veteran in the Air Force, was self-employed in retail, and a member of the Presbyterian Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Ann Hale Turner of Booneville, Kentucky, one daughter Mrs. Nancy “John” O’Hair of Richmond, Kentucky, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Tammy “Kelly” Shouse of Booneville, Kentucky and Terese “Calvin” Robertson of Antioch, Tennessee, five grandchildren Matthew Connor O’Hair, Taylor O’Hair, Hunter Shouse, Calvin Robinson III, and Tanner Shouse his special “little boy” and one sister Mrs. Eliza Noble of Jackson, Kentucky.        

He is preceded in death by his parents Wesley and Bertha Turner, one sister Juanita Turner, four brothers Blaine Turner, Wesley Jr. Turner, Joe Edward Turner and Gordon Turner.   

Memorial Service will be Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Rev Bobby Hollon officiating.  Burial followed in the Government Cemetery at Buckhorn, Kentucky. 

The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangement.
