Shirley Jean Stamper, 73 of Jackson, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.
Shirley was a retired teacher with the Breathitt County Board of Education. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crafting.
She was a member of the Little Cane Creek Baptist Church.
Shirley was the widow of the late Ollie Stamper and the daughter of the late Park and Carrie Hall Lawson. Along with her husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Lawson, Roy McIntosh, A.C. McIntosh, Jesse McIntosh; her sisters, Julie McIntosh, Geneva McIntosh, Kelsie Salyers, Martha Thomas , Arkie Johnson.
She is survived by her sister, Alicia (Dewey) Kirk.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 2, 12:00 PM at the Jackson Cemetery with Bryan Seeb Combs Jr. and John Abner officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
