Ruby Grigsby

Ruby Grigsby, 79 of Jackson departed this earthly life Sunday, September 22, 2024 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.

Ruby was the daughter of the late Purda and Rachel Garrett Stacy.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jay Stacy, Don Stacy and Johnny Stacy and her sister, Mavis Whitaker.
Ruby worked for the State Highway Office, Falcon Coal Co. and Ashland Oil.  During her spare time she enjoyed traveling, especially going to beaches.  She was an avid sports fan and was devoted to her grandkids whom she loved spending time with.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Beattyville congregation and was a past president of the Jackson Woman's Club.
Ruby is survived by her husband, Corbett Grigsby; her son, Corbett Stephen Grigsby; her daughter, Joy Noble (Brandon); her brother, Gerald Stacy; her sister, Norma Bailey; her grandchildren, Cory Grigsby (Ashley), Rachel Durham (Derek), Maddie Lee, Branson Noble; her great granddaughter, Glaysea Goff.
Visitation for Ruby will be Tuesday, September 24, at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with additional service by the Jehovah's Witnesses and Brother Johnny Ellis held at 7:00 PM.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 25, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Brother Johnny Ellis officiating with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning.  Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Whitaker, Derek Goff, Tanner Melton, Josh Potter, Frank Kincaid, John Michael Stacy, Ashton Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers include Bobby Deaton, Johnny Grigsby, Chris Warrix, Neil Watkins, Craig Howard, Fred Landrum, Drew Christensen.
