Timothy Scott Dousay

Timothy Scott Dousay (50 years of age), follower of Jesus Christ and loving dad of Sophia Ireta Dousay, went home to be with the Lord on September 26th, 2023. He is survived by Sophia Ireta; his parents Howard and Rita Dousay; his sisters Virginia (Mark) Andrlik, Renee (Kip) Jenkins, Christy (Rick) Brewer; his brother, Mitchell Dousay; his brother in Christ, Gene (Kym) Bellau; nieces Annie Dousay, Kaila Andrlik, Kamyla Andrlik, Rachel Brewer, and Rebekah Brewer; nephews Timothy Dousay, Waylon Dousay, Bradley Jenkins, and Huntley Jenkins. Timothy gave his life as a small child to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and was baptized in His name. He believed in the absolute authority of the Bible as God’s Word and plan for our lives to follow. He believed in God as the Creator of the universe and that faith like Noah was needed in every life. His faith in God guided him and sustained him throughout the years. He became an Eagle Scout with Troop 1091 in 1987 while in high school and was Battalion Commander of Breathitt County High School ROTC program. He entered the Kentucky Army National Guard and became a Nuclear Chemical Biological Warfare Specialist. He actively served on the Drug Eradication Force for Kentucky and worked at the Bluegrass Army Depot. While doing maneuvers to leave for the Gulf War he was injured, thereafter enduring several surgeries, and remaining hopeful until permanent disability was pronounced. He was proud to have served his country. Tim loved spending time with his daughter Sophia and the rest of his family. He always tried to bring a smile to everyone and was known for his playful pranking and jokes. Tim was a giver—ever so generous with his time. He offered a listening ear and helpful advice, remained sincere, enjoyed his cats, and loved nature, especially waterfalls and volcanoes. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, and uncle. Most of all, a dedicated and loving Dad to Sophia Ireta. “I have fought a good fight, finished my course, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7.
