Wyamon Combs

Wyamon Combs, 95, passed away Thursday, February 22, at the Wolfe County Health Care and Rehab Center in Campton. He was the widower of the late Joy Marie McKinney Combs and the son of the late Rader and Gertrude Howard Combs. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Beverly Ann Combs; granddaughter, Jessica Renee Howard; brothers, Lloyd Combs, Foster Combs, Burnis Combs, Lonnie Combs; sisters, Lula Faye Stamper, Margie Leadingham, Wanda Lasley. Wyamon was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War and a member of the Miller's Branch Baptist Church. He was a retired coal truck driver and in his spare time he loved to fish and play music. He is survived by sons, Ronald Lee Combs, Gregory Van (JoAnne) Combs, Wyamon Mark Combs; daughters, Mary Lynne Combs, Sandra Kaye (John) Phipps, Angela Renee (Ricky) Combs; brother, Carl Combs; grandchildren, Wyamon Jason Combs, Natasha Renee Ashley, Michael Mitchell, Joshua Clyde Howard, Aaron Michael Combs, Johnathan Jordan Elwood Phipps, Makendra Marie Faith Phipps; host of great grandchildren; host of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday, February 26, 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Doug Finley, John Phipps, William Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Combs, Jason Combs, Rader Combs, Mason Combs, Josh Howard, Michael Mitchell and as honorary pallbearer will be Johnathan Phipps.
