Kearns Combs

Kearns Combs, 69, Rowdy, passed away Monday, February 19th, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was a member of the Clayhole Pentecostal Workers Church. Kearns was a retired heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, work and church. When he wasn't working you could find him reading and studying his bible. When meeting Kearns he would always greet you with "blessed by the best". He was the son of the late Gurney Combs. He was also preceded in death by brother, Earl Combs. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy Ann Pennington Combs; daughter, Kimberly Combs(Jeff); mother, Frankie Harvey Combs; brothers, Glennis Combs, Kenneth Combs(Kim); grandsons, Kearns Preston Mullins, Charles Glenn Mullins; great grandson, Grayson Kash Mullins. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 21, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM with additional services being held at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Thursday, February 22, 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Donald Tapio officiating. Burial will follow in the Combs Family Cemetery at Rowdy. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
