Anna Lee Deaton

Anna Lee Deaton, 91, of Jackson, KY, passed away peacefully Monday, July 21, 2025 at Breathitt Health and Rehab. She was born on December 18, 1933, to the late Lacy and Amanda Shoemaker Deaton Sr.

Anna was a retired accountant with Jackson Wholesale and was known for her sharp mind and dedication to her work. She had a true passion for quilting, which was her favorite hobby, and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Anna lived a life of quiet faith and was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her brother, James O. Deaton (Karen); sisters-in-law, Arbedella Deaton, Linda Hatton Deaton; special niece, Jill Hatton (Shane); nieces, Jana Gilbert (Ricky), Laura Laughridge (James), Patty Epperson (Hargis), Cathy Tincher (Ellis), Carol Turner (James); nephews, Bill Deaton (Teri), Tyler Deaton (James McClure); and special friend, Liz Bowling.

Anna was preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Deaton and Lacy Deaton Jr.

In honoring Anna's wishes, the family will hold a private burial in the McIntosh Cemetery.
