Otis Sizemore, age 75, of Clayhole, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

Otis was born on December 14, 1949 in Rowdy, Kentucky to the late Cornel and Flora Sizemore. He was the widower of the late Charlotte Noble Sizemore and was also preceded in death by his son, Brett Anthony Sizemore and brothers, Hiram Sizemore, Ossie Sizemore and Dan Sizemore.

A retired CSX Railroad employee, Otis was known for his strong work ethic, his kind and giving spirit, and his deep love for his family. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and a faithful member of the Buckhorn Mennonite Church though he enjoyed attending many other churches in the community. He especially loved singing, lending a helping hand to anyone in need, and spending time with his loved ones.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Sizemore and Chad Sizemore; his brother, Ed Sizemore; his sisters, Bonnie Noble, Edith Couch, and Brenda Traina. Otis also leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren; Sabrina Elvidge, Michael Sizemore, Odis Sizemore, Dillon Sizemore, Ethan Sizemore, Destiny Combs, Rebecca Sizemore, Chad Hunter Sizemore, and Trenton Sizemore; four great-grandchildren: Weston Noble, Bentley Sizemore, Maverick Sizemore, and Mason Sizemore; special friends, Wooly and Lynn Allen.

Visitation for Otis will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Breathitt Funeral Home from 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM. His funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Eldon Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sizemore Cemetery at Riley Branch in Clayhole, Ky with Chad Sizemore, Mike Sizemore, Mikey Jr. Sizemore, Odis Shane Sizemore, Dillon Sizemore, and Ethan Sizemore serving as pallbearers.

Otis will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend—a man of faith who walked humbly and gave generously.
