Virgie Elvise Carpenter

Virgie Elvise Carpenter, 91, Guage passed away Sunday, March 17, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of the late Squire Carpenter and the daughter of the late Henry and Maudie Howard Cole. She was also preceded in death by brothers and sister, Grover Cole, Ray Cole, Ronnie Cole, Ruth Miller, Warren Lee Cole; grandchildren, Jessica Powell, Preston Miller. She was a member of the Bach Memorial Church. She was a homemaker and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing, working jigsaw puzzles and playing canasta. She is survived by children, Ralph (Barbara) Clemons, Morris Carpenter, Judge Carpenter, Diannia (Doug) Howard, Raymond (Beth) Carpenter; brothers, Bob (Mary) Cole, Lloyd (Patty) Cole, Garry (Elaine) Cole; sisters, Mattie Haines, Patty (Gordon) Clemons; grandchildren, Toby Clemons, Tammy (Charlie) Fugate, Gordon (Jan) Carpenter; great grandchildren, Drema Clemons, Alley Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, Landon Carpenter, Rebekah Carpenter, Julianna Carpenter, Alex Fugate, Austin Fugate, Bella Fugate, Taylor Fugate, Tiffany Fugate, Brayden Fugate; great great grandchildren, Cooper Carpenter, Ben Fugate; special nephew, Philip Carpenter. Visitation will be Monday, March 18, 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral will be Tuesday, March 19, 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Harold Clemons and Harold Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery at Guage. Serving as pallbearers will be Gordon Carpenter, Philip Carpenter, David Carpenter, Harold Cole, Gordon Clemons, Leon Napier.
